Suitability comes first.

Active infection, inflamed acne, impaired healing and some medicines can make treatment unsuitable or require postponement.
Temporary redness, dryness, sensitivity and pigment change are possible and recovery varies by intensity.
A course may be suggested for some concerns, but outcomes and the number of sessions cannot be guaranteed.
